No judge or any of their immediate family members may exhibit in any class that he or she will judge.

1. The Fair Association will take all feasible precautions to prevent loss, damage or injury to you, your property, your livestock and the visitors to the Fair, but in case a loss, damage or injury does occur, the Fair Association will not assume any responsibility for such loss, damage, or injury. Each exhibitor will be responsible for taking care of his or her exhibits and for any damage or injury such exhibits may cause.
2. All MAILED entries should be postmarked by September 10th. CAPACITY OF THE BARN IS LIMITED. ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED BY EARLIEST DATE ON A FIRST PAID FIRST SERVE BASIS AS LONG AS SPACE IS AVAILABLE. When space is filled, entries will be returned. Entries must be mailed to: Livestock Committee, Comal County Fair Assn., P.O. Box 310223, New Braunfels, Texas 78131-0223 or delivered to the Comal County Fair Office. Entries without fees will not be accepted. Make checks or money orders payable to Comal County Fair Assn. A $25 fee will be collected on NSF checks. DO NOT mail entries after the 10th—please bring cash and hand deliver.
3. ON LINE entries must be submitted on or before September 15. Online abilities will not be available after September 15. Please print and retain the receipt for verification of registration!! Entries on the day of shows will be CASH ONLY.
4. A $5.00 late fee will be incurred after September 15 for any form of entry.
5. Livestock must be on the grounds in accordance with arrival schedule and must remain on fairgrounds, not in individual trailers off of fair property.
6. All animals exhibited must be free of infectious or contagious diseases and parasites, such as ticks, ear ticks, lice, or mites. If any animal is found to carry an infectious disease or parasite that can be transmitted to the other animals, the owner will be required to treat the animal to prevent the spread of the disease or parasites or remove the animal from the show grounds.
7. All livestock shall meet the Texas Animal Health Regulations.
8. Stall assignment is on first come – first serve basis. The barn will be open Wednesday afternoon at 5:00pm and all day Thursday beginning at 10:00am for early move in of equipment and stall preparation.
9. Each exhibitor is responsible for cleaning up trash and litter near and around pens or stalls occupied by the animals and the alleys adjoining the pens or stalls. Cleaning should be done before exhibitors leave after the show and before they are released. Please clean shavings in Lamb and Goat pens. Bags and shovels will be available.
10. All animals exhibited must be sufficiently gentle and halter broken that they can be handled with safety to both exhibitor and spectators. Animals

First through tenth place awards will be offered in each class, but if in the opinion of the judge the animal exhibited is not worthy of such an award, he may make an award as is in keeping with the quality of the animal exhibited. The judge’s decision will be final. No breed championship award will be awarded unless at least three animals of same sex and breed are exhibited.
12. Premium money will be awarded in accordance with the ribbon awarded in all classes, regardless of competition.
13. Breeding and market animals will be released in accordance with the release schedule. Livestock divisions allowed to leave “After Show” must be
    removed within 2 hours of the conclusion of the respective show or will remain on the grounds until the last release time. No exceptions.
14. Exhibitors are encouraged to hang signs over their livestock to advertise their exhibits, but such signs must not be longer than the space occupied by the exhibitor’s livestock.
15. A CCFA Coupon redeemable for prize money will be awarded and can be redeemed in the livestock office at the completion of each class or division.
16. Junior Show Exhibitors will be issued 2 Gate Passes. Breeding Exhibitors will not exceed 4 passes. Passes will be issued upon sign-in at the Livestock Office.
17. Unprotected fans are prohibited in livestock barn and care should be taken to keep them out of walkways. Generators are allowed on the OUTSIDE of the barn, if needed.
18. Side Gates on Grant Street will be open each morning from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and by contacting a committee member after that.
19. Barn closes at 10:00 p.m. Exhibitors are asked to please be through with feeding and chores by then. Any remaining exhibitor, family member or spectator will be required to leave. Gates will be secured to protect livestock overnight.
20. Trailers WILL NOT park on the Fairgrounds. Parking is available at Schlitterbahn, and a shuttle is available. Please avoid parking trailers on streets around the fairgrounds, in front of homes.
21. All livestock will load and unload at the Grant Street gates. All beef cattle are REQUIRED to load and unload within the fenced area behind the livestock barn.
22. Appropriate dress for exhibitors is requested. Collared shirts for males and females, no midriffs or cleavage showing, long pants or skirts and appropriate footwear is suggested.
23. Exhibitors must be current students or members of a 4-H or FFA organization. No graduated students may show.

All after show releases will last for 2 hours starting immediately after the conclusion of each show.
