BBQ Cook-Off
The BBQ Cook Off is held the weekend before The Comal County Fair. This Year the BBQ Cook Off will be September 19, 2026.
Friday night the cookers set up and move in, we also have a washer pitching competition.
Saturday is when most events take place, we have the Rodeo Queen Contest and Crowning, Kid Best Western Dress Contest, Pig Wrangler Contest, Washer Pitching Contest, Antique Tractor Pull, Stick Horse Racing and we close out the evening with Mutton Bustin’ Blow Out! BBQ Judging is taking place all day as well.

Comal County Fair
This year the Comal County Fair will run Wednesday, September 23rd to Sunday, September 27th, 2026.
Admission is
- Free for children 5 and under
- $5 for Children 6-11 years old
- $10 for Adults 12 years old and over
**Please note Saturday evening we will have an increase of $5.00 for adult admission pricing.**
Comal County Fair PRCA Rodeo
The rodeo starts at 7:00 Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Sunday Backyard Bull begins at 2:00 in the afternoon.
Yes, tickets can be purchased online. Advance rodeo tickets include admission onto the grounds. Tickets are available for purchase starting in the Summer.
Yes, an additional admission fee to watch the rodeo is charged.
Comal County Fair Parade
The start time for the parade will be 9:00a.m.
Sign up for the parade starts in July. Please visit the parade page for more information.
Parking is available throughout the backside of the parade route. We do ask that you do not block driveways and be mindful of fellow neighbors when parking.

PROHIBITED ITEMS
- Pets of any kind (other than trained ADA Service Dogs)
- Illegal or illicit substances, drugs or drug paraphernalia
- Weapons of any kind – guns, knives, etc. “pocket” knives must be in a pocket or purse/bag, all other knives are prohibited
- Flammable items or liquids, aerosols, and fireworks (includes mace or pepper sprays)
- Large bags or backpacks
- Costume masks
- Outside food or beverages including alcohol
- Balls, frisbees or flying disks
- Drones or unmanned aerial vehicles
- Balloons
- Obscene or offensive language or clothing, pins, accessories
- Laser pens, laser pointers, or similar focused light devices
- Coolers
- Professional radios or walkie-talkies
- Slingshots
- Bicycles or skateboards
- Chairs or stools
- Instruments, megaphones, horns or noise makers – not associated as a registered entertainer
- Any other items as directed by the Comal County Fair Board
