Anyone living in Comal County or any of the counties touching Comal County may enter this
contest.
Entries will be accepted
between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 25th . Judging will take place on
Thursday, Sept. 26th, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The screening committee and/or the
Chairperson must accept all entries and their decisions are final. All
entries must be picked up on Sunday, September 29th, between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00
p.m. or Monday, September 30th, between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.
A trophy will be
presented for:
- 1) Best-Preserved Overall Entry
- 2) Most Interesting Entry
- 3)
Most Unusual Entry
- 4) Best Weapon
- 5) Best New Braunfels Entry
- 6) Best Toys
(includes dolls)
- 7) Best Patriotic Entry
- 8) Best Farm Implement
- 9)
Best Kitchen Utensil
- 10) Best China and Glassware
- 11) Best Vanity Entry
- 12) Best Holiday Entry
The following are
suggested items which may be entered into the Antiques and Heirlooms Division: china and glassware, bottles and jars, clocks and watches, firearms and weapons, garments and handwork (antique, heirloom), holiday and New Braunfels items, jewelry and vanity items,
household articles, and farm implements, as well as other heirloom items. Larger items are now accepted as space permits.
Please note:
1) All items must be
CLEAN and FREE OF DUST AND RUST. Judges will only consider items in good
condition.
2) No person shall
exhibit who engages in buying or selling of antiques, as a full-time or
part-time business.
3) No item will be
accepted that is too large to fit in the display cases.
4) Collectibles are items
that date from 1940-1970
5) Antiques are at least 50-80 years old. 1970 or older.
6) Exhibitors will
receive one pass for each item accepted.
7) Maximum of five (5)
entries per person present on Wednesday at time of entry.
8) We will not accept
ANYTHING that does not fit into our locked cases!
THE COMAL COUNTY FAIR ASSOCIATION IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS,
THEFT, OR DAMAGE TO ANY ENTRY.
With entry of your exhibit, you understand and agree that the
judges' decisions are final.
Larger Items can now be accepted on a
"First Come, First Serve" basis and as long as they can fit properly
in our new case.
